The Auto‐Graphics’ SHAREit ILL era begins in the state of South Dakota.

Auto‐Graphics, Inc., a leading provider of tools, technologies, and software developed to power libraries, and South Dakota State Library, proudly announce the selection of Auto‐Graphics’ SHAREit™, as the statewide resource sharing system.

After the usual competitive RFP process, South Dakota State Library selected Auto‐Graphics, Inc. as the vendor of choice with their latest iteration of ILL software. SHAREit’s open platform provides a tremendous advancement in the development of next generation resource sharing systems for libraries by facilitating interconnectivity of disparate systems, providing consortia the ability to interface with multiple ILL and resource sharing systems.

Intended for library systems ranging in size from a single branch, up to diverse and complex statewide systems such as South Dakota, SHAREit™ will provide a modern patron‐centric state solution supporting all South Dakota Libraries. The South Dakota RFP required a vendor to provide a modern, standard spaced solution in order to support the largest to the smallest libraries in the state. South Dakota sought a solution which could handle the diverse needs of the state’s ecosystem. This ecosystem includes public schools and academic libraries, each with their own unique challenges.

“The South Dakota State Library selection of SHAREit continues a very strong year for growth for Auto‐Graphics in North America. We continue to see states/provinces looking for modern, patron centric resource sharing solutions throughout North America. As resource sharing solutions have shifted to truly supporting patrons while removing or mitigating unnecessary staff intervention, we believe SHAREit expansion will continue to grow,” stated Albert Flores, Vice President of Sales at Auto‐Graphics.
