Library Management Network in Alabama Selects Auto-Graphics’ VERSO ILS™
Multi-type Consortium Increases Patron and Student Services While Lowering Costs

POMONA, CA. — September 5, 2012 — Auto-Graphics, Inc., a leading provider of tools, technologies, and services that enable libraries to provide personalized access to physical and digital collections, today announced that the Library Management Network (LMN) has selected VERSO ILS™ to replace its Innovative Interfaces Millennium system for 13 libraries in 10 counties across north Alabama. This multi-type consortium consisting of academic, public, and high school libraries has chosen Auto-Graphics’ cloud based implementation which provides full system support and maintenance and includes real-time upgrades and product enhancements. In addition to being selected through a formal RFP process, Auto-Graphics worked with LMN to conduct comprehensive speed testing to ensure that system performance would not be affected by switching from an on-premise installation to the cloud based implementation.

“VERSO ILS is flexible enough to allow our member libraries to maintain their individuality through widgets and settings while still fully cooperating with the group,” said Charlotte Moncrief, system coordinator of LMN. “We anticipate that by migrating systems we will see a large cost savings while also providing access to new technologies like federated searching.”

LMN libraries will not only receive VERSO ILS’s robust modules including circulation, cataloging, and SmartReports, they will also benefit from streamlined access to content through the SEARCHit™ federated search module. SEARCHit will eliminate the need to log into multiple systems to access content and will allow patrons, students, and staff to make use of a single username and password to search and access available resources such as library catalogs, eBooks, and electronic databases including the online databases, magazines, journals, and newspaper articles provided through the Alabama Virtual Library.

“We are pleased to provide libraries throughout Alabama with cutting edge library management technology that makes full use of Auto-Graphics’ exceptional consortial ILS capabilities designed for multi-type library environments,” said Albert Flores, vice president of sales at Auto-Graphics.
