Auto-Graphics Fully Integrates with MeLCat in Nine Libraries with Many More to Come
Libraries throughout state of Michigan are integrating with Auto-Graphics’ integrated library system (ILS), VERSO®

ONTARIO, CA. — May 30, 2014 — Auto-Graphics, Inc., a leading provider of tools, technologies and software developed to power libraries, proudly announces the full integration of VERSO®, Auto-Graphics’ integrated library system (ILS), with Michigan’s Interlibrary Loan (ILL) system, MeLCat, in nine libraries. Additionally, many more Michigan libraries are soon expected to be fully integrated with VERSO.

Auto-Graphics was the second vendor in the state to fully complete all testing and implementation.

The integration of VERSO and MeLCat allows local libraries to communicate with MeLCat through NISO Circulation Interchange Protocol, or NCIP. Furthermore, the integration of VERSO and MeLCat is fully in production and NCIP is used daily.

Finally, the integration of VERSO and MeLCat is expected to significantly decrease costs for libraries. “The two systems will interact in a manner that creates less labor costs and improves the efficiency of the library. For example, local rural public libraries that often are understaffed will be able to re-task their limited resources to front desk, inventory management or other patron (customer) facing duties which improves the rural libraries ability to serve the public at large,” said Albert Flores, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Auto-Graphics.

For more information on the full integration of VERSO and MeLCat, or to schedule a demonstration of VERSO, please contact Albert Flores at (909) 569-1502 or abf@www.agentinformationsoftware.com.
