Auto-Graphics Announces SmartPay Online Payment Integration with its VERSO Library Management Platform
Robust Online Payment Technology Enhances Library Discovery Platform

POMONA, CA. — June 14, 2012 — Auto-Graphics, Inc., a leading provider of tools, technologies and services that enable libraries to provide personalized access to physical and digital collections anytime, anywhere, today announced the integration of Comprise’s SmartPAY™ Online payment solution with its VERSO™ Library Management Platform. The addition of SmartPAY to the VERSO product offering provides libraries with a secure online payment facility directly through the library catalog. This capability provides unlimited opportunities for forward thinking libraries to offer 24/7 payment functionality completely integrated with their Library Management Platform. While the product integration at the most basic level provides libraries with a way to increase monetary collections and reduce wait times at the circulation desk, it also provides the opportunity for libraries to offer and collect payment for cost-based eContent directly through their library website.

“The next phase in the evolution of VERSO is to provide patrons and staff with seamless self-service access to content and services through an elegant interface at every interaction,” said Albert Flores, vice president of sales and marketing at Auto-Graphics. “Products like SmartPAY open the door for progressive libraries that are pushing the limits of what their ILS can do. We have one customer looking to integrate SmartPAY with Geolocation, our IP Authentication technology, to offer locally developed eContent at different price points depending upon whether or not the end user is within the State.”

With SmartPAY, VERSO libraries can now offer their patrons the option to purchase eContent, pay their fines and fees or make a donation to the library with a credit card directly through the library catalog. Through the well-designed integration, patrons can view their account and select full or partial payment. Secure payment authentication is achieved through the SmartPAY Gateway providing library staff 24/7 access to audit level reporting including who, what, when, where and how each payment was made.

“Comprise is excited about the integration of SmartPAY with VERSO because it illustrates how a forward looking library automation provider can leverage the SmartPAY Gateway as a secure platform to unlock unlimited eContent potential. It is this type of customer driven focus that has driven both Companies success and will provide even better products in the future.” said Richard Hill, of Comprise Technologies.
